Germany: Thousands demonstrate against the far right in Berlin

Over the weekend, demonstrations against the far right persisted. Reports of an alleged plot by radicals, including lawmakers from the AfD, to force millions of immigrants to “remigrate” have triggered the marches.
While organisers estimated that approximately 300,000 people were attending the march, Berlin police reported on Saturday afternoon that over 150,000 people were there.

According to a spokeswoman, authorities were forced to provide additional space because the protest site, which was in front of the Reichstag building, the seat of the German Bundestag, or parliament, was overcrowded.
